‘Deltona’ in Italian, means big Delta… We run an ex-Paolo Alessandrini ART Lancia Delta Integrale 16v Evoluzione…  In Italy, the Evos were called Deltonas.

Our car was built for the 1989 San Remo Rally and Paolo and Alessandro Alessandrini finished the rally in 7th place overall.  The car was used by Paolo Alessandrini on a number of events after that and was then hired out to Italian drivers Gilbert Pianezzola and Michele Rayneri who competed in a wide number of events from Italy to New Zealand.

Over the past few years, the car has been completely restored in a bare shell, nut and bolt rebuild.  The bodywork was restored by Colin Hagan of Riverpark Training in Mallusk and is finished in the original works style of PPG white on the outside and silver grey on the inside.

The engine is a 2 litre 16 valve turbo producing around 300bhp, driving through an Abarth 6 speed straight cut gearbox and limited slip differentials.  The engine was rebuilt by Mervyn Johnston of The Classic Garage in Magherafelt, the transmission work was carried out by Derek McGeehan of McGeehan Motorsport in Draperstown, while Ronald Montgomery looked after all the electrical work.  Eddie Corr of Eddie Corr Racing engineers the Lancia.

The Deltona Logistics team also runs a Citroen C2 R2 rally car as well as a spaceframe 1600cc A Series Mini sprint and hillclimb car.
